When I was young, elementary school age, I had an aunt whom I admired and looked up to! She lived in California! West Hollywood!! She always had funky hair: choppy cuts, fun colors! Watched some of our favorite movies (Practical Magic, The Addams Family, Nightmare Before Christmas), favorite paranormal shows (Ghost Adventures and The Exorcist) and Halloween episodes of our favorite prime-time comedies. Drank pumpkin beer, pumpkin cider, pumpkin liqueor and pumpkin spice coffees. Ate a ton of pumpkin and pumpkin spice goodies, to include so many that were given to us by friends, old and new. Received unexpected packages from friends in Indiana!

As the weather is turning a little bit cooler here in the Sunshine State (yay!), we have the A/C turned off and the windows & patio doors open. The fresh air and cool breezes are therapeutic to my soul. So, the first hurricane to hit Florida in over 10 years came right through our part of the state and dumped rain for days.
It’s like crazy weather follows us! 100-year flood in Colorado a day after we arrive! Extra hot temps this summer in Florida. And, then Hurricane Hermine!
