We spent all Sunday indoors! Never even unlocked the door to feel the weather!
That’s right! We weren’t lazy, but a bit leisurely. Continue reading
Life can be full of stress and while completely eliminating it might be impossible, minimizing it is not.
Still your mind with some “me” time.
Just as important as exercise, restful sleep, healthy food and staying hydrated with H2O, taking several minutes (or longer, if you can) to be still, quiet & mindful is an easy way to de-stress!
There are almost as many workouts as there are people, am I right?

OrangeTheory with an emphasis on cardio;

To that end, there are several things that I like to do on the daily in service to this temple that escorts me through my vibrant life! Continue reading
I started coming down with a head cold late Wednesday. A “gift” from Chris … who was gifted by a co-worker (ya know, someone who has paid sick leave and should have stayed home so as not to infect others!!!).
Well, I don’t have sick days and my job does not find me sitting at a desk. I have to go to work to get paid and my job requires me to be up & active, motivating gym members! Continue reading

The Tale of the Tape
Current weight: 131 lbs
I stepped on two different types of scales at my gym this morning. One gave me about 131 lbs, the other 131.6 lbs.
I had already run about 2 miles, consumed a gluten-free waffle with a tablespoon of peanut butter, a hard-boiled egg and a small cornbread biscuit, along with my morning coffee and some water.
So…I am probably about 130 lbs at the beginning of this, my second, 10-day Shred.
Right Thigh: 19.75″
According to the handheld device at the gym my Body Fat % is 25 and my BMI is 23.6. Both normal for my height, weight and age!
I am gearing up for my next 10-day Shred, which begins July 25th. I am rather looking forward to it. After my first one, I know I can do it … and better!
I had to pull back on my exercise to protect my shoulder from further and greater injury. I had a couple slips in my eating and drinking.
I am human. I am not going to beat myself up for what I didn’t do.
Rather, I am cheering myself for what I did do! What I learned! Continue reading
I believe I have shared some of my au natural, homemade, “old wives” tale beauty in a previous blogpost. I am back at it, but this time I want to add laundry detergent, fabric softener and sunscreen/moisturizer. Continue reading
